Making a circular motion with ones index finger.
Vuelta is a basic salsa turn, performed by the leader on one 4/4 bar, the 5-6-7, which is 2nd half of one count. It is also possible to use it on the 1st half of one count but in couple dancing it is far more rare. The turn is clock wise, and is performed almost completely on the spot, not stepping in any direction.
On 5 The Leader lifts right foot of the ground, with a slight twist counter clock wise, to gain momentum for the turn.
On 6 The leader swings right foot clock wise, behind left foot and performs about ¾ of a turn to the right.
On 7 The leader completes the turn and steps with right foot.
Note: it is important to keep balance at all times, and use the left foot as a stable axis of motion.
