Begins on 7 of the previous count, with The leader stepping in to the Rueda with the right foot, and The follower out of the Rueda with left foot. The step should be accented, loud and powerful, as though crushing something. While doing this the dancers bend as much as they need to reach beneath their leg. On the next count 3 hand claps follow: On 1 above the leg, On 2 beneath the leg, and On 3 above the leg again. After that all dancers complete the count with the 2nd half of the Guapea.
